What should I do right now?
If water is still coming in, shut off the source if you safely can, and call us. Do not start pulling up flooring or throwing things away yet — the documentation of what was damaged is what supports your claim, and once it is in a skip it is gone. Photograph what you can, and leave the rest to us.
How does the insurance side actually work?
We document everything before we touch it, we meet your adjuster on site, the scope and pricing get agreed between us, and then you approve the restoration. We bill your insurer directly so you are not funding the work while you wait on a settlement.
Will you help me get more money out of my claim?
No, and be careful of anyone who says they will. Our job is to document the damage accurately and price the restoration correctly. Inflating either is fraud, it is a criminal matter, and it puts your claim and your policy at risk. Accurate documentation is genuinely the thing that protects you.
How long does drying take?
Typically three to five days, but it finishes when the material reaches its dry standard on a meter, not on a schedule. Baton Rouge humidity lengthens this compared with drier regions. You get the daily readings so you can see the curve yourself.
How quickly can you get here?
Our average is 58 minutes across normal conditions. After a named storm every restoration firm in the region is at capacity, and we will tell you your real position in the queue rather than quote you the average. Unsecured properties get priority.
Do you test your own mold clearance?
No. A remediation company that tests its own work and declares it passed has an obvious conflict of interest. We use an independent hygienist and their result comes to you directly, even when it means we go back and do more at our own cost.
Can my contents be saved?
Most of it, usually. Upholstered furniture that sat in contaminated water, swollen particleboard and mattresses almost never are, and we document those for your claim rather than billing you to clean them. Photographs and documents go first and get the most care.
Are you licensed and certified?
We are licensed by the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors and we are an IICRC Certified Firm. Both are verifiable and you are welcome to check them before you let anyone into your home.
